What's the purpose of the gala?
The British American Foundation of Texas is celebrating 20 years of improving access to education in Texas, and raising funds to continue our essential mission. For more information click here.
Dress code
Dress code is black tie (gowns or cocktail dresses) or Roaring 20s. Kilts are welcome!
Pre-check on arrival
Keep a look out for a text message or email from Auction Frogs with your secure pre-check login. Pre-check allows you to update your contact information and put your credit card on file before your arrive. Completing pre-check will help you and all of our guests check in quickly and easily. Because we are expecting more guests this year, we appreciate your willingness to help us with this step. All guests are required to check in and collect a paddle and table number, whether they pre-check in advance or with a volunteer when they arrive.
Offline payment
Our sales platform requires all guests to have a credit card on file for this event. Credit card payments will incur fees so if you prefer to settle any balance at the end of the evening by DAF, check, zelle etc please let our volunteers know when you check in.
Program
Our event opens at 6:30pm, program starts at 7:30pm, Skyrocket! plays at 10pm and the gala closes at 1am. Our full program is available here.
Silent auction
Our silent auction opens at 6pm on Friday November 6th and closes at 9:15pm on Friday November 13th. Lots can be viewed and bid on from November 6th here.

Champagne diamond
We will be raffling a piece of diamond jewelry, generous donated by Tenenbaum Jewelers at the gala. Tickets take the form of refillable, numbered glasses of champagne and cost $100 each. Guests may buy as many as they wish - don't lose your number! The winning number will be drawn at 9:55pm.
Wine pull
The wine pull will be available all evening, up to the close of the gala. Purchase a cork for $50 and win a bottle that is valued at more than $50, maybe worth $$$$. Note that wine cannot be opened at the Post Oak, as per TABC regulations.
AmFund
Our partners at AmFund are providing a vacation auction in the reception area of the ballroom. Their lots can be viewed online here and an AmFund representative will be available for questions. All AmFund trips are available for two travelers, three years and no blackout dates.
Advent calendar
The advent calendar, valued at over $12,000, will be full of gift certificates for entertainment, beauty treatments, restaurants and more around Houston, with a special surprise for every day of advent. This prize is a real treat, whether you keep them for yourself or gift them over the holidays. Tickets cost $100 each and the winner will be drawn at 9:10pm.
Guest Rooms
Guest rooms are available at the Post Oak Hotel for the night of Friday November 13th at a preferred rate of $429++. Click here to book - rooms are available until October 11th.
